Self-adhesive asphalt waterproof tape belongs to a type of self-adhesive elastic waterproof coil. At its core, it is based on polymer modified asphalt, which endows it with excellent waterproof performance. The main body of the tape is made up of either polyester felt or glass fiber felt, granting it the necessary strength and stability.
On its upper surface, you'll find a covering of polyethylene film, fine sand, or aluminum foil. The polyethylene film serves to protect against abrasion and imparts a smooth finish, the fine sand is beneficial for enhancing adhesion on particular surfaces, while the aluminum foil offers enhanced resistance to ultraviolet rays and moisture, making it highly suitable for outdoor applications.
The lower surface is shielded by self-adhesive protective paper, which keeps the adhesive in pristine condition until it's time for application. This tape truly shines with its remarkable self-adhesive properties, allowing it to firmly adhere to a wide variety of substrates, and its outstanding bending properties, enabling it to snugly conform to irregular surfaces. What's more, the construction process involving this tape is straightforward and hassle-free.
